Puffing Billy & Dandenong Mountains & Healesville Sanctuary Tour ( 8am departure appx 7hours)
The forest is home to the lyrebird, traditional gardens, waterfalls, steep valleys and rolling hills.
The tour will also visit the Sherbrook forest, stopping at the Grant Reserve, where we will be surrounded by Australian native birds, such as the rosellas, cockatoos and galahs. Here you will have the opportunity to handfeed some of these amazing natives birds.
The tour will continue on the famous puffing Billy steam train, through Belgrave to Menzies creek, where you experience breathtaking forest views.
The tour will pass through beautiful villages and their cafes, resturants and craft shops. Including Sassafras a beautiful old style forest town. ( Lunch own expense)
Then it is on to Healesville Sanctuary, home for over 200 species of Australian birds, mammals and reptiles all set in a natural setting. Walk around paddocks of wallabies and kangaroos and come face to face with Koalas. Take a guided tour of Australia's native animals.
